Protocol 1919
A paradigm of high value.
The Certificate 1919
Every watch that passes Protocol 1919 is accompanied by the Certificate 1919, which documents the entire verification process: from selection to delivery.
What the Certificate contains
- Complete identification of the timepiece
- Technical specifications on water resistance
- De Montel 1919 grading
- Certification date
- Active warranty and any extensions
- Internal traceability code
The five phases
Every timepiece follows a precise, standardised certification process called Protocol 1919.
Any timepiece that raises the slightest doubt during even one phase is excluded from the De Montel 1919 product network.
Provenance & Selection
Verification — including documentary acquisition — of provenance, history and legitimacy of every piece before acquisition.
Technical Authentication
In-depth analysis of every component of the watch, such as case, engraved numbers, dial, movement, bracelet and accessories.
Internal Grading
In-house classification according to exclusive De Montel 1919 parameters: aesthetic, mechanical and documentary condition of every component.
Certified Refurbishment
Every intervention is carried out by certified workshops and craftsmen, and is fully tracked and documented.
Certificate 1919 and statutory warranty
Alongside the statutory warranty, the Certificate 1919 is issued to attest that every phase of Protocol 1919 has been passed.
An innovative standard
Protocol 1919 introduces an innovative benchmark for the pre-owned luxury watch market, founded on structured criteria of selection, authentication, grading and warranty.
